What Is Your Story?
Reporters use writing to tell readers the news. Sometimes, their stories come with images. These images are usually photographs. They can also be charts or graphs.
Images help readers see the events in a news story. They give readers another way to understand the story.
Try It Yourself
What is the news in your community? Show it in an image. On a piece of paper, draw a picture of the news. Who are the people in the story? What is the main event? What else should your reader know about it?
