Time for Change
Fall is the season between summer and winter. Weather goes from hot to cool. Animals get ready for this change. Plants change too.
Leaves change color.
Look at these trees. Some leaves are yellow. Some are red and orange. Soon the leaves will fall.
Weather gets colder.
Fall brings cooler temperatures. Time for a sweater! Days are shorter. It gets dark earlier.
It is harvest time.
Pumpkins turn orange. Squash are ripe. They took months to grow. Now they are ready to be picked.
Animals prepare for winter.
Chipmunks collect food. They store it for the winter. Some animals grow thicker coats for warmth.
