A farm is where food is grown or raised. Let’s take a tour of one. There are many things to see. Shapes are everywhere. What do you notice about the shapes on the farm?
A circle is round.

It has one curved side. A round hay bale is rolled up tight. That keeps moisture out.
A rectangle has four sides.

Look at this picture. The pieces of the fence are rectangles. The spaces between them are rectangles too.
A square has four equal sides.

It is a type of rectangle. All four sides are the same length. This field has the shape of a square.
A triangle has three sides.

The barn doors are made of triangles. How many do you see? Look carefully. There may be more than you think.
