
People use different tools to eat with. Here are a few of them. Which do you use most often?
Chopsticks (above) work together to grab food. They were developed in China about 5,000 years ago. These are being used to pick up sushi.

Forks have prongs. They can be used to spear food and pick it up. You can also use a fork to scoop up food. Here is a fork picking up some rice.

Hands and fingers are used to eat with too. In some countries, food is scooped with fingers or bread. This person is eating an Indian meal. It is called a thali.
