Mindfulness

What does it mean to be mindful? It means to pay attention to what is happening right now. Try not to think about the past or the future. You can do it anywhere and anytime. Use your senses to help you.
Taste.

Take a bite of something delicious. Is it sweet? Is it sour? Focus on the flavor.
Touch.

Pick up a small item, such as a pebble. Is it bumpy? Is it smooth? Close your eyes. How does it feel in your hand?
Listen.

Put your hand up to your ear. What do you hear? Is it loud or quiet? Far or near? Imagine what is making the sound.
Smell.

Find a beautiful flower. Breathe in deeply through your nose. What does the flower smell like?
