Amphibians are animals that can live on land and in water. You can find them in rivers, lakes, and forests. They eat bugs and worms. There are different kinds of amphibians. Read about some of them.

Toads and Frogs

Toads have dry, bumpy skin. Frogs have moist, smooth skin. Toads have short legs for crawling. Frogs have long legs for jumping.

Salamanders

These amphibians have a tail that can come off. That helps a salamander escape predators. No worries. The tail grows back.

Caecilians

These amphibians look like snakes. They do not have legs. Most caecilians live underground. Some live in streams.
