Students at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary, in Wyandanch, New York, are celebrating World Kindness Day on November 13. They’ve been writing compliment-filled notes to teachers and other staff, and will distribute them along with bags of treats they’ve assembled. —Pamela C. (teacher), New York

My son Elias is a second grader. He was out raking yards for community members with high school volunteers. They also raked all of the leaves at his school, which was a big job. Elias is already excited for his next service project. —Erin B. (parent), Illinois
