Going Out on Top
Monty the giant schnauzer took top prize at the Westminster Kennel Club dog show on February 11. “We’re just proud of him,” his handler and co-owner, Katie Bernardin (above), said at the annual event in New York City. Monty’s win marks his final competition appearance. After the show, Bernardin confirmed that the 5-year-old canine is retiring. “He is totally done,” she told CT Insider. “There is nothing more he can do, except be an excellent pet.”
