End of the Eras
Taylor Swift just broke a record. She wrapped up the highest-grossing concert tour of all time. That means her tour made more money than any other concert tour in history.
The pop star’s Eras Tour started in March 2023. In December 2023, it became the first concert tour to make more than a billion dollars. But Swift still had months to go. The tour ended this year on December 8. After 21 months and 149 shows, Swift smashed her own record. The tour sold more than $2 billion in tickets, per The New York Times.
That amount doesn’t include other profits from the tour. It doesn’t include T-shirt sales. And it doesn’t include ticket sales from Swift’s concert movie. The movie is Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour. It became the highest-grossing concert film ever.
Swift’s touring company says that more than 10 million people attended the tour. During her final Eras show, Swift described the tour as “the most thrilling chapter of my entire life to date.” She told fans: “You’re why this is so special.”
