Sweet Acts of Kindness
In Cocoa Magic, 8-year-old Daniel enjoys making chocolate treats with his great-uncle Lewis. But Daniel is less excited about school. One day, a new student arrives. She seems sad. Daniel wants to cheer her up. So he secretly gives her sweets. Soon, he notices other kids could use some cheer. He slips them chocolates too. And something surprising happens. They become nicer.
“Kindness is magic,” author Sandra Bradley told TFK Kid Reporter Kellen Bhatt. “When we are kind to someone, that person feels heard, seen, and valued. And that makes it easier for them to be kind to others.”
