Let’s Fly

Wicked is now in movie theaters. It’s based on a hit Broadway musical. In the movie, Marissa Bode plays Nessarose, or Nessa. Like Nessa, Bode uses a wheelchair. She says she relates to Nessa “in many ways.” One is “her wanting to find a sense of community.”

Bode says being in the movie was a dream come true. Her favorite moment on set was flying. “I loved being in the air,” she says. “Being on wires isn’t something I do every single day! So that was a lot of fun, and that felt very magical to me.”
