Changing the Game
Caitlin Clark is a professional basketball player. And now she’s TIME’s Athlete of the Year. Clark plays for the Indiana Fever. She was WNBA Rookie of the Year in 2024. Before that, she played for the University of Iowa. She’s only 22. But Clark has already set records. She has made an impact on women’s sports. In 2024, more people watched WNBA games than ever before. And the sport continues to grow. “I’m just scratching the surface of what I can do and hopefully how I can change the world and impact people,” Clark told TIME’s Sean Gregory.
