Who’s Winning the Electoral College?
In the United States, a candidate needs to win at least 270 out of 538 electoral college votes to become president. As of November 5, the Democratic candidate, Joe Biden, had 264 electoral votes. The states Biden won are blue on this map. President Donald Trump, the Republican candidate, had 214. The states Trump won are shown in red. At press time, five states had not yet reported a winner.
