SOMETHING TASTY My mom and I made this cake, but it didn’t turn out the way we wanted it to. Since I was having a Harry Potter birthday party, my mom said we could just pretend it’s the cake that Hagrid gave to Harry. That way, it doesn’t matter that it’s messy.

SOMETHING SILLY My sister is 2, and she loves to look at herself in the mirror. She’ll even kiss herself in the mirror. And one day, we found her picking her nose and looking at herself in the mirror.

SOMETHING SOMEONE GAVE YOU This is a painting of me that my mom’s best friend did. She’s a really good artist. She did it for my eighth birthday.

SOMETHING THAT BRINGS YOU GOOD LUCK It’s kind of an embarrassing story, but I used to have an extreme fear of needles. Once, when we went to get a flu shot, I was so scared that I screamed for two hours. Someone who worked there gave me this stuffed cat, and that helped me calm down.

SOMETHING YOU LIKE TO WEAR This is one of my favorite shirts. I got it for Battle of the Books, which is a yearly school competition where we all read books and memorize facts about them.

SOMETHING YOU MADE I love to draw! It took me a long time to do this pine cone because I had to draw each triangle and then do the shading and put a dot on it.
